LOD hosts Global Training delegations of type 1 diabetes advocates to implement shared protocols and techniques to help advance diabetes education outcomes diversely around the world, to provide a fun and relatable approach to tackle psychological hurdles and key areas of understanding in life with diabetes.

In 2020 LOD hosted its 2nd Global Training during the virtual ISPAD conference to 59 advocates across 4 continental regions of the world, partnering with 33 connected organisations in 32 countries. The focus of the training was on producing diabetes camps as core project outcomes. 

In 2018 in London, LOD hosted 16 DiAdvocates from 12 countries for a 5 day training schedule, with a focus on producing active ‘LOD Project’ community outcomes – practical forms of workshops to make diabetes education more active and engaging.
