DiAthlete Workshop: Planning & Prepping
28th July 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
| FreeThis month’s focus at DiAthlete is around the experiences of hypos and hypers, awareness around the various impacts they can have, and tips we can take into our daily lives on planning and preparing.
Our virtual workshop on Wednesday 28th July, 6pm British Summer Time, will provide the opportunity to connect with others in our breakout rooms on Zoom about shared experiences to openly hear views on how others in our community look to plan or work with their condition across life’s journey and various activities.
Our special guest speakers for this workshop:
Melanie Stephenson-Gray, an athlete with type 1 diabetes as an international sprinter, this year Mel became a mother for the first time! Mel will share her experience as someone who has trained and prepared her body for the track… and planned and prepared for the birth of her beautiful baby girl.
Hollie Louise, a nutritionist, personal trainer and diabetes coach who works for Rugby Premier League’s Harlequins (Foundation). Hollie was diagnosed 10 years ago with type 1 diabetes, and will share her journey and how she plans ahead for her active lifestyle.
RSVP below for free to attend, make sure you put in the correct email and only one email is required even for multiple attendees in the same household. We will email you the Zoom link before the workshop.
