The League of DiAthlete’s (LOD) Global Challenge will this year be in Costa Rica, tackling the part mountainous and part rainforest terrain of Los Santos! We are assembling a team of international patient advocates from within DiAthlete’s entity LOD to take on this challenge, whilst filming a documentary on type 1 diabetes and hypoglycaemia around the world, and reaching the local diabetes communities across Costa Rica with a schedule of educational and empowering events coinciding. Furthermore, the challenge aims to raise funds for LOD’s Global Alliance partner organisations based in Africa, the Sonia Nabeta Foundation (Uganda) & Diabetes Youth Care (Ghana)
