EDUCATE. ENCOURAGE. EMPOWER

Diagnosis to type 1 diabetes is a tough one to take on the chin; even if you have a hard chin. It takes a lot to adjust to – and seemingly can throw uppercuts when you least expect. So you have to keep your guard up all of the time in living with this condition. BUT by taking on the great level of responsibility which life with type 1 diabetes brings – to test blood glucose levels, taking on the appropriate doses of insulin, knowing what activities your day entails and being prepared – comes a great POWER to go on and achieve any dream you have in life. At DiAthlete, we do not see diabetes as an enemy, we view it as a competitor; to be a champion, you have to respect your competitors in order to beat them.
